Jean HoeufftEdit

Please feel free to improve the article Jean Hoeufft, a 17th century French banker, who also worked on draining the Marais Poitevin. Mathglot (talk)

racism in FranceEdit

Concerning the part about jews during german occupation in WWII : the yellow star is not a french decision taken in the october 1940 in the ' statu des juifs ' ( jews statu )but a german decree in occupied zone from may 1942 ,( the yellow star has never existed in Vichy zone even after this territory has been annexed to german zone in november 1942) and the round-ups from summer 1942 have been done in part by french officials and police but on german request , ordered by Himmler and Heydrich ( the french made the choice to arrest first foreign jews , so 80 % of french citizen jews have survived the war which is an high rate among all occupied countries ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs) 09:17, October 31, 2017 (UTC)

New bot to remove completed infobox requestsEdit

Hello! I have recently created a bot to remove completed infobox requests and am sending this message to WikiProject France since the project currently has a backlogged infobox request category. Details about the task can be found at Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/PearBOT 2, but in short it removes all infobox requests from articles with an infobox, once a week. To sign up, reply with {{ping|Trialpears}} and tell me if any special considerations are required for the Wikiproject. For example: if only a specific infobox should be detected, such as {{infobox journal}} for WikiProject Academic Journals; or if an irregularly named infobox such as {{starbox begin}} should be detected. Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

Annexation of the Leeward IslandsEdit

I recently wrote Annexation of the Leeward Islands. I was wondering if any French historian with knowledge about French colonial history in the Pacific can take a look at this and help with further expansion. I am more adept on the Polynesian side of history but less about French history. KAVEBEAR (talk) 06:54, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

Deep AmericaEdit

Deep America, currently prodded, could possibly be saved and expanded by a French speaker. Google Books and Scholar turn up lots of hits for l'Amérique profonde, but it's not clear to what's in-depth discussion and what's just using the term. If it's not notable then wikt:l'Amérique profonde probably ought to be created. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 18:02, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Hubert LefèbvreEdit

The article Hubert Lefèbvre has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Minecrafter0271 (talkcontribs) 22:34, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Deputies of the 8th Legislature of the French fifth republicEdit

I am proposing to create a series of pages for each department of France along the lines of Draft:Ain deputies to the eighth legislature of the French fifth republic to show the deputies of the French National Assembly elected via proportional representation (which was just for the 8th leigslature). I'd like some feedback on the idea and the design of the table.
