Wikipedia:WikiProject Museums

Welcome to the Museums WikiProject! A chunk of this text has been stolen borrowed under GFDL ;) from other Wiki Projects.

  • Improve Wikipedia's coverage of museums.
  • Improve quality of existing articles
  • Expand smaller museums in non-English dominant countries where articles are little more than a sentence.
  • Create guidelines for articles about museums.
  • The project covers all articles about museums in a wide range of disciplines and locations throughout the world. By member consensus, it does not include aquaria, herbaria, zoos and other non-museum 'collections' because these are well-covered in other projects.
  • For those within the museum sector, and collaborations between Wikipedia and institutions, see Wikipedia:Advice for the cultural sector.

I can't find any references for this article, the existing reference is unrelated and the external link isn't particularly related either. As such, it's not possible to prove that this museum/collection actually exists. Mike Peel (talk) 23:22, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Stub TemplatesEdit

Below you can find a list of some of the more common stub tags. However, as of April 2014, the following applies per the helpful advice of User:Od_Mishehu:

  • "each state of the US (and Washington DC, which isn't technically a state, but is treated as one as far as stub tags are concerned) now has it's own museum stub tag. In stead of using {{Alabama-stub}} and {{museum-stub}}, please use ({{Alabama-museum-stub}}. Same goes for all the other US states (as one word in CamelCase, and GeorgiaUS for Georgia)."

Stub tags go at the very end, after the categories.
