If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Proposed deletion of Mozart and fashionEdit

The article Mozart and fashion has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The statement in the single sentence stub is not supported by the single reference. There's nothing notable here that requires a new article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. John Lang (whistleblower) moved to draftspaceEdit

An article you recently created, John Lang (whistleblower), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 14:56, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:John Lang profile image.pngEdit

Thanks for uploading File:John Lang profile image.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:16, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 20:01, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Shirley Beverly FrenchEdit

Hello Mozart834428196,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Shirley Beverly French for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Speedy deletion nomination of Saxy PartyEdit

Hello Mozart834428196,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Saxy Party for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Replaceable fair use File:Ralf Hütter performing in 1973.pngEdit

Thanks for uploading File:Ralf Hütter performing in 1973.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones  (Talk) 18:31, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. Speedy deletion nomination of Lily Snowden-FineEdit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lily Snowden-Fine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. –Davey2010Talk 11:41, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Catholic Psychedelic Synth FolkEdit

The article Catholic Psychedelic Synth Folk has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not mentioned in any reliable sources as far as I could see. Appears on things like lsat.fm and spotify, but these can be user-generated. No books or similar sources mention this genre

Speedy deletion nomination of Fire Of God's LoveEdit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fire Of God's Love requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". RonBot (talk) 17:22, 20 August 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Fire of God's Love cover.pngEdit

Thanks for uploading File:Fire of God's Love cover.png.

Will You Ever Be Mine moved to draftspaceEdit

An article you recently created, Will You Ever Be Mine, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. September 2018Edit

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at Psychedelic folk. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with blocks or other sanctions. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 12:03, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Hello. Some of your recent genre changes have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. September 2018Edit

Your recent editing history at New Romantic shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Replaceable fair use File:Janis Joplin 1967.jpegEdit

Thanks for uploading File:Janis Joplin 1967.jpeg.

Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:56, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Joni Sledge, Sheffield (2014).jpgEdit

A tag has been placed on File:Joni Sledge, Sheffield (2014).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Personal messageEdit

I'm not happy bombarding you with warnings but you really need to listen to all the editors who have posted such messages. You can't add things to articles based on your opinion. That includes genres, but also other assumptions you have made. I realize there are genres listed in many music articles that are not sourced. Rather than adding more unsourced genres, we need to source what is already there. Genre is a tricky thing and we can only go by what reliable sources say--even if it seems obvious that a certain song is of a certain genre. We all have our prejudices, biases, and opinions; the key to editing is remaining neutral and finding reliable sources. If we can't find any, whatever we intended to add should be left out (or brought to the talk page where someone else may find a useful source). We can't just throw things into articles which inevitably will need to be dealt with by someone else along the line. freshacconci (✉) 17:39, 30 September 2018 (UTC)

I see. I'm sorry, I just thought they sounded like the genres I called them. --Mozart834428196 (talk) 18:57, 30 September 2018 (UTC)

We are not interested in what you think is "generally considered" to be true. We rely on reliable sources, as you should know by now. Ghmyrtle (talk) 18:49, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
A lot of people consider Herefordshire the West Country. Also, ITV have Herefordshire as the West Country: [1]. --Mozart834428196 (talk) 14:34, 26 October 2018 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at West Country. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Ghmyrtle (talk) 13:49, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at West Country shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war.

Ghmyrtle (talk) 14:13, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

You are still edit warring. Please read WP:BRD. If an edit you make is challenged and reverted, the process is that you discuss the matter further on the article talk page, not through edit summaries - especially when your summary is meaningless. Carry on like this, and you will be reported for disruption and possibly blocked. Ghmyrtle (talk) 13:03, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

White Power (book) moved to draftspaceEdit

An article you recently created, White Power (book), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. Speedy deletion nomination of Do You Believe (1394)Edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Do You Believe (1394) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Speedy deletion nomination of Blaxploitation (music genre)Edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Blaxploitation (music genre) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ‑‑V.S.(C)(T) 12:32, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

File:Pops We Love You The Album.jpgEdit

See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Edit-warringEdit

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Orphaned non-free image File:Odyssey1977AlbumCover.jpgEdit

Thanks for uploading File:Odyssey1977AlbumCover.jpg.

Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:45, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

January 2019Edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content. Once the block has been removed, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

You can be unblocked by an administrator only if you show here that you fully understand our policies of Verifiability and No original research, and will comply with these policies. Genre warring is disruptive. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 21:37, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

I would also suggest that user demonstrate understanding of not edit warring.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:36, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Parish Church of Saints AugustineEdit

The article The Parish Church of Saints Augustine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
