Author and book details are mixed (Redirection error)Edit

It is to inform you all that 'Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah' is the name of the book not any personality. Here the page is wrongly redirected. Here the details of author (i.e. Ibn Khuzaymah) is given while his book name is redirected to same page too. Please make the author biography separate from his book title. Another page of his book has already been made by name of Saheeh ibn Kuzaima. Please redirect Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah page to this new page which explains his book not the author himself (i.e. Saheeh ibn Kuzaima}.

Proposed deletion of Western SufismEdit

The article Western Sufism has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG.

mischief with nameEdit

Hello Sir, Hope you would be fine. Sir, I am editing Alavi Bohras occasionally, as in the past I had a talk with you regarding this page. I want your assistance regarding the mischief by someone, who changes Da'i name (incumbent) and inserts some derogatory words.

Previously text was (line 807): Birth of 45th Da'i al-Mutlaq Saiyedna Haatim Zakiyuddin saheb - 1379 AH/1959 AD - Vadodara, Gujarat With mischievous words: Urs munarak of 45th Naapak ul Haqq Saiyedna Haatim Zakiyuddin saheb – 1379 AH/1959 AD – Vadodara, Gujarat Recently my edition: Birth of 45th Da'i al-Mutlaq Saiyedna Haatim Zakiyuddin saheb (the incumbent missionary of Alavi Bohras) – 1379 AH/1959 AD – Vadodara, Gujarat

Hope to hear you, sir --NoorAlavi (talk) 12:25, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

Dear NoorAlavi, it appears that you have already fixed the problem yourself. The person who vandalised that specific line, has also been blocked some time ago. There is nothing left for me to do, I think. --HyperGaruda (talk) 14:29, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks a lot sir..... --NoorAlavi (talk) 14:56, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

SubsectionEdit

Since you were previously active there, I wanted to ask two questions. Firstly, I was wondering whether you believe its worthwhile to incorporate the sentence containing "Fully a quarter of the Muslims" into the NDM page, and if so, how. Secondly, I wonder whether you have an opinion on what is the most appropriate subsection to place the paragraph beginning with "144 non-denominational prayer rooms", which is currently in the "Groups" subsection. Kind regards. 79.67.72.231 (talk) 13:19, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Your first point would be best placed in the section Demographics. It however already mentions a ratio of at least one in five, based on the same Pew research, although a different chapter. Personally I would leave it like that, because "at least one in five" also implies a quarter. Regarding your second point: its position among organisations seems odd at first glance, but the current layout of the article does not really provide a better alternative. You would have to do some serious restructuring for it to fit nicely. --HyperGaruda (talk) 18:12, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

"BeritaSatu Medan and O Channel Medan" listed at Redirects for discussionEdit

A discussion is taking place to address the redirect BeritaSatu Medan and O Channel Medan. The discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 May 29#BeritaSatu Medan and O Channel Medan until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Church treasureEdit

Hi, I only left the German word in the lede because I originally translated it from German and wasn't 100% sure if 'church treasure' was the right phrase. I usually leave the original word in brackets so other editors can come along and go "hey, I know what that word means" and, if necessary, correct my translation. In this case, the English seems to have been accepted, so I'm not fussed by the deletion. Cheers. Bermicourt (talk) 13:39, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, I see no reason for why your copy of the Qur’ān has to be hosted on Wiki-servers, while we already have other copies. See for example File:The Holy Quran.pdf and other pdfs in commons:Category:Qur'an PDF files. --HyperGaruda (talk) 06:10, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

About titles, honorifics and appeal to popularityEdit

Hello and greetings,

This is just for your kind info. Since previously you have participated in an inconclusive RfC discussion at this RfC in year going by, and since some related aspects are under discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#Titles, honorifics and appeal to popularity may be you want to join in to share your inputs or opinions.

Thanks and regards

Template:Today/AD/SH/AHEdit

In view of the warnings you gave at user talk:Hadysylmy, you may want to watch Template:Today/AD/SH/AH if you haven't already.

See also user talk:Hadysylmy#Template:Today/AD/SH/AH --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 10:27, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

@John Maynard Friedman: thanks for notifying. I was following their edits for a while, but stopped after a period of inactivity. I believe your revert was correct, as the change turned it into basically a redundant duplicate of the related {{Today/AD/AH}}, ignoring the Solar Hijri date entirely. --HyperGaruda (talk) 20:05, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
So deliberate disruption then by actively removing the SH system, presumably for sectarian reasons. If/when you decide to list them at WP:ANI as being WP:NOTHERE, let me know and I will support. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:28, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
