This time, the article that I chose is Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, add one citation on the art school, here is the link of the difference https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Herberger_Institute_for_Design_and_the_Arts&diff=prev&oldid=982860152 Through this part of work, I read the link of the article that professor provide on the Guide(s) for Working on Articles in Your Topic Area - Art history. Last time, I did some change on Arizona state university, this time I did change on the Herberger institute, it is one of the institute of ASU, it get more deeper and more specific on the article. I read it carefully and checked all the grammar and spelling, it is helpful to me and let me know how the wikipedia's article important to reader. Shangyingsun (talk) 20:34, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi professor, I just assigned myself this article in the Wiki Edu Dashboard. Shangyingsun (talk) 06:14, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

Shangyingsun, Beyond adding a citation alone, make sure to provide a sentence or two to express your contribution in context (which the citation will support) to demonstrate how it adds to the knowledge in the article. Citations alone do not add value. Please add a sentence or two to explain what the citation adds and the ping me again here when done. FULBERT (talk) 00:38, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi professor, I've already edited the summary of my change and published it. But it not showing in my contribution and diff. Week 5/Add a Citation and Contribute to One Article/DetongCheEdit

I choose an artist who comes from Japan, I have researched him when I take graphic design classes. Here's the article link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takashi_Murakami, and I added the citation link is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animation. Since the "Animation Industry" did not have a good explanation in the article, so I added a sentence to the article. This is the link for difference between revisions: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Takashi_Murakami&type=revision&diff=982919994&oldid=981538443. Week 5 / Add a Citation and Contribute to One Article / NectarosEdit

In this section, for the article [[Virtual reality sickness]] I contributed and cited more recent research in the section "Individual differences in susceptibility." Link to diff [1]. I learned that looking at the recency of the research is important for determining notability. There seems quite a bit of inconsistency in agreement among researchers as to whether gender/sex is a clear factor in the susceptibility of virtual reality sickness and the article did not represent that disagreement prior to my edit.

Week 6/Add a citation and contribute to one more article/Forza spursEdit

The article I assigned to myself this week is the article introducing Matt Bonner, who is a former NBA player from Canada. The following is the link to the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Bonner. Besides, here is the link to differ: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Matt_Bonner&diff=983417541&oldid=980432574. For this article, I added a citation to provide the source of some specific statistics listed in the article to better display Bonner's career development. From this process, I have learned that some common knowlege for you can be uncommon for other readers. For example, as a basketball fan, I am familiar with a certain definition discussed in an article related to basketball, but others are highly likely to get in touch with this word for the first time, so we need to expalin it.Forza spurs (talk) 03:36, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Week6 / Add a Citation and Contribute to One Article / ShangyingsunEdit

In this week, I add a citation on article "TikTok", which is a very hot topic in this period, I found that the article talked a lot "ByteDance", but they didn't show the link or citation about it. so I add this citation on it. I think it will help more people who don't know the "ByteDance" to understand what it is. From those add citation works, I found I paying more and more attention to details, and pay attention to some hot topics or articles, at the same times, I want to help these articles to be more perfect, give more information, and let more people know more things here is the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=TikTok&diff=prev&oldid=983472709 Shangyingsun (talk) 12:35, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

The article I chose this week is "Online shopping". The weather in NY becomes much colder today that reminds me it's might be the time to buy a winter sweater or jacket. Week6 / Add a Citation and Contribute to One Article / 八路军被服厂李厂长Edit

This week, I've assigned myself an article about Apple Inc, and adding one paragraph in the section of Energy and resources. Here is the link of the difference https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Apple_Inc.&type=revision&diff=983872590&oldid=983766237 I added a paragraph on about how the Apple's next 10-years-plan of being com·plete·lycarbon neutral in 2030, and then I provided what series of innovative actions that Apple is taking to lower emissions. Another good new for this time assignment is that the first time somebody else thanked to my edit and fix couple words in my edit. I feel great this time. Also what I learned from this week is that the wikipedia articles should be time sensitive, and adding updates. It is not a one-time project.--八路军被服厂李厂长 (talk) 23:11, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi! During this week I edited the article League of Legends, for citation this week, I find that the article itself didn't mention that League of Legends's mobile game. So for this gap between the knowledge of this article I cite that the mobile game of LoL is launching its open beta test on October 27, 2020 to fill this gap. Here is difference link for that. In this week's exercise, I learned how to apply my exist knowledge to an article and find relevant references. Thank you very much CaptainJoseph (talk) 22:44, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

3. This week, I edited an article called "Hunger Marketing". It is a relatively new topic in marketing, and hence it needs more information. I edited part of "emotional decision making" by pointing out that it is essentially equivalent to intuitive decision making. 1.Summary: Gustave Le Bon illustrated how individuals are influenced by the ideas and emotions spread by the crowd. When people have the same psychological appeal, it is possible to form a group. When individuals form a group, they will have the psychological characteristics of mental decline, impulsiveness, and self-confidence. I changed three references to this article. Since this is an introduction to Gustave Le Bon's theory, the original text written by Gustave Le Bon will be more convincing than quoting others' summary of his theory. Therefore, I use the original sources rather than secondary sources in this article.

2.The link to difference is https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/985326335

3. After this process, I think crowd psychology is a complex system theory, and its knowledge is very important for senior managers. Even for ordinary people, we have to be a little wary of public opinion in our daily lives, because public opinion does not always represent rationality, and sometimes it may be irresponsible. Week 8/ Add two citations/ MartinmadisonEdit

Link to the first article: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Norilsk&type=revision&diff=985397673&oldid=985178183

In this article, it mentions the impact of industrial pollution on residents’ life expectancy. While it only says that the local life expectancy is ten years below the average of Russia, I added the life expectancy of Russia in number and another comparison against the life expectancy of the U.S.

Link to the second article: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=IFRS_17&type=revision&diff=985399631&oldid=970496983

In this article, it talks about a new accounting standard designated for insurance companies. It does not have a great amount of details regarding the scope of application of the IFRS 17. More specifically, what kind of insurance and reinsurance contracts would be applicable for the new standard. The report from Deloitte illustrated the details and list of applicable contracts under the new standard. Martinmadison (talk) 19:00, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

Week7 / Contribute to One More Article / ASCXXEdit

This is the link to the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diversity_training#Purported_benefits

This is the link to the diff page: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Diversity_training&diff=985445963&oldid=982020439

This week I edited an article named "Diversity training", I edited the section purported benefits. The whole purported benefits section talked about the negative sides of diversity training however, it did not mention any benefit of it. I think adding one benefit of the diversity training could further support its description.--ASCXX (talk) 00:42, 26 October 2020 (UTC) FULBERT
