WP:UAA reports on users with no editsEdit

Generally, there is no reason to report usernames with no edits whatsoever. Per WP:UAAI: "Wait until the user edits. Do not report a user that hasn't edited unless they are clearly a vandal. We do not want to welcome productive editors with a report at UAA, nor do we want to waste our time dealing with accounts that may never be used." The exceptions are obvious hate speech or names that attack a living person/Wikipedia editor, those are blockable even without any edits, but other run-of-the-mill violations need not be reported unless and until they at least attempt to edit, and you should be able to clearly explain what the problem is if it is not immediately evident.

For whatever reason, every day dozens, if not hundreds of accounts are created that never make one single edit. It is our responsibility as admins to conscientiously review every report a user makes at UAA, so we have to check for contribs, deleted contribs, and tripping of the edit filter for every one of these reports, only to find out there's nothing there and therefore no problem to be solved. So we add the wait tag to the report, it goes to WP:UAA/HP for a week or more, and must then be reviewed again to see if the account has since become active before removing it. That's time that could be spent doing more productive things, but you basically obligate admins to do it by making such reports. Beeblebrox (talk) 03:57, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

Also, your siganatureEdit

Per WP:SIGLENGTH and also WP:SIG#DL and also just because it is extremely annoying to try and parse out where one is to click on it to arrive on your talk page, please cut it down from this:

—<span style="font-family:Rockwell,sans-serif"><span style="background-color:#0780B4;color:white;">Bey</span><span style="color: red;text-shadow:-4px 4px 4px orange"> WHEELZ</span> <span style="color:green;">Let</span> <span style="font-size:75%;color:green;">It</span> <span style="color:green;">RIP!</span></span><span style="font-size:125%">✉</span>📝<span style="color:gray">Sign</span>

To something a little more reasonable and clear. Links to your sandbox and guest book pages, and to all pages with your username as a prefix really don’t need to be in your signature. Thanks. Beeblebrox (talk) 04:04, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

@Beeblebrox: I have changed my signature drastically from 831 bytes to just 253. Is it better now?  BeyWHEELZTC 00:19, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
Much better, thank you. Beeblebrox (talk) 00:46, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

Your reply at User talk:BGSportsEdit

Two comments on your reply here: Firstly, won't leat to new page patrollers taking a look; that's a separate process from WP:AFC (though related, of course, in that it also reviews new content). Secondly, I noticed that your signature's links points to User:BLIR and User talk:BLIR, respectively. You may want to update those links. Huon (talk) 02:03, 7 February 2018 (UTC)

Sig changeEdit

Hi. Re [1], we have usually just replaced the old example with the new, especially when the new was a better example. ―Mandruss  21:38, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. I have put the new example on that page. — B. L. I. R.C 21:50, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Actually my suggestion was replace, not add. I think you and I are the only two editors who have two signatures on the page, and I'm removing one of mine now. ―Mandruss  01:12, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
I have removed my old signature per your suggestion. — B. L. I. R.C 02:51, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. ―Mandruss  04:47, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer grantedEdit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Disambiguation link notification for March 26Edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Virginia Beach Oceanfront, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page George Bush (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:38, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

"Gen W" listed at Redirects for discussionEdit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Gen W. Since you had some involvement with the Gen W redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. signed, Rosguill talk 18:08, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:TypingWeb Logo.pngEdit

Thanks for uploading File:TypingWeb Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:50, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Edit requestEdit

Hello! I was wondering if you could please remove the pp-template from User:BeywheelzLetItRip/common.css as it is currently contained in Category:Wikipedia_pages_with_incorrect_protection_templates. Thepenguin9 (talk) 01:35, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

@Thepenguin9:   Done. I did not know my page was in that category, so I moved the protection template so that it goes to my home page instead of being transcluded into my common.css file. Thanks for notifying! — B. L. I. R.C 02:30, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
