Rachel joined Wikipedia in 2004. It was a simpler time, when there was never any fear of people in her life finding out about her various fandom activities, the need for a career or even to make her own money was still years away, and she had, of course, never heard of Minecraft. Under her original username she edited in sporadic bursts over the course of a few years before vanishing to college in 2007, where she picked a new username: crystallized. Eventually, she did hear of Minecraft and games like it, and those wikis and others for video games and tropes alike drew her in. In 2014, roughly ten months shy of the tenth anniversary of her account, Rachel submitted a username change request (of course, such a simple single word was already in use, but luckily she was already using variations with three L's elsewhere) and decided to return to Wikipedia to do what she had been doing best on other wikis: editing, polishing, and cleanup. She wasn't, isn't, and probably won't be the most consistent of editors, but she certainly intends to do what she can.
