*'''Speedy keep''' A padma awardee which is the fourth highest civilian honour in India and clearly passes [[WP:ANYBIO]].[[User:Faizal batliwala|Faizal batliwala]] ([[User talk:Faizal batliwala|talk]]) 14:17, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
**{{re|Faizal batliwala}} You may be right, but per [[WP:ANYBIO]], "meeting one or more <nowiki>[</nowiki>criteria<nowiki>]</nowiki> does not guarantee that a subject should be included." Moreover, 118 people were awarded the [[Padma Shri]] this year alone, so it alone should not establish that a subject should be included. Only one source is used in the article which is not simply a list of winners of the award, and this singular source is a short news report in relation to the award, meaning the article probably does not meet the [[WP:GNG]] and certainly fails [[WP:SUSTAINED]]. My original nomination for deletion had more to do with the article's blatant [[WP:PROMO|self-promotion]] and lack of a [[WP:NPOV|neutral point of view]] than with notability. [[User:Bedfordres|Bedfordres]] removed much of the contentious material, for which I am very grateful, but I'm still not inclined to change my position to "keep", given the lingering question of notability/referencing in a [[WP:BLP|BLP]] and per [[wP:SUSTAINED]]. *'''Delete''' per [[WP:YOURSELF]]. Receiving an award (however prestigious) does not guarantee notability, especially for the subject of an apparent [[WP:AUTOBIO|autobiography]].
