TechReport was one of the first sites in 2007 to document and benchmark the flaw in the [[translation lookaside buffer]] (TLB) of [[AMD Phenom]] CPUs. Despite claims by AMD that the initial BIOS fix would only result in 10% performance decrease, benchmarks by TechReport have revealed that the performance impact by the initial BIOS fix was much more severe, up to nearly 20% on average, with some applications such as Firefox experiencing performance decrease of 57% in tests.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://bit-tech.net/news/tech/amds_phenom_tlb_errata_benchmarked/1/|title=AMD’s Phenom TLB errata benchmarked|last=Swinburne|first=Richard|website=www.bit-tech.net|access-date=2019-07-19}}</ref> They were also the first one to notify about AMD stopping the shipment of processors due to this bug.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.nordichardware.se/nyheter/tlb-bug-turns-amds-plans-upside-down-big-time.html|title=TLB bug turns AMD’s plans upside down big time|last=G|first=Andreas|website=www.nordichardware.com|access-date=2019-07-19}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2007/12/phantom-phenoms-perplexing-processor-problem-behind-produdct-delay/|title=Phantom Phenom’s perplexing processor problem behind product delay|last=Hruska|first=Joel|website=www.arstechnica.com|access-date=2019-07-19}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=https://bit-tech.net/news/tech/amds_phenom_tlb_errata_benchmarked/1/|title=AMD’s Phenom TLB errata benchmarked|last=Swinburne|first=Richard|website=www.bit-tech.net|access-date=2019-07-19}}</ref>
