'''Bad Hönningen''' is a municipality in the [[Neuwied (district)|district of Neuwied]], in [[Rhineland-Palatinate]], [[Germany]]. It is situated on the right bank of the [[Rhine]], approx. 15&nbsp;km (10 &nbsp;mi) northwest of [[Neuwied]], and 30&nbsp;km (20 &nbsp;mi) southeast of [[Bonn]].

Archeological findings suggest that the first settlers lived here over 1800 years ago when the romansRomans occupied the [[Rhineland]].

In 1019, the town was documentary mentioned as "Besitztum Hohingen" for the first time.

The first bathousebathhouse for medical treatment opened in 1895.
Because of this, the town is legitimated to have the titeltitle "Bad" since 1950.
