Große Kreisstadt is the [[German]] term for a district town in [[Germany]] with some greater meaning despite rather small size as measured by [[population]]. It is used for [[town]]s with most times around 40.000 citizens which are administration centers in their area. Those district towns have most times around 40.000 citizens.
