Deutsch: Im Gemeindewappen wird die herausragende historische Bedeutung der berühmten Benediktinerabtei Wessobrunn zur Geltung gebracht. Die gekreuzten Schlüssel sind aus dem Wappen des Klosters übernommen und verweisen als Attribut des heiligen Petrus auf dessen Patrozinium. Die Farben des Wessobrunner Klosterwappens (rote Schlüssel im silbernen Feld) werden im Gemeindewappen umgekehrt wiedergegeben. Das Säulenkapitell erinnert an das Wirken der berühmten Stukkateure, Baumeister und Maler aus der Wessobrunner Schule, die im ganzen oberdeutschen Raum Meisterwerke des Barock und Rokoko schufen. Dadurch erlangte die Gemeinde internationale Berühmtheit.
