Français : Ville de Burscheid
Deutsch: „Das Stadtwappen besteht aus einem silbergrauen (weißen) Wappenschild, auf dem sich drei grüne Lindenblätter mit Stiel befinden und aus einer über dem Wappenschild als Abschluß angebrachten dreitürmigen Mauerkrone.“ Mit Erlass des Preußischen Ministers des Inneren wurde die Stadt Burscheid am 21. August 1920 zur Führung eines Stadtwappens berechtigt.
English: „The arms were derived from the arms of the family Bourscheid, who used three red water-lily leaves. The leaves were changed to linden leaves, without any special meaning. Whether the family had anything to do with the city is also not very clear.“
