Major General Asang Laoly is a Laotian politician and member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. He was born on 2 February 1941 in Phongsaly province in an ethnic Akha family.

He was elected to the LPRP Central Committee at the 3rd National Congress and retained a seat on the body until the 9th National Congress. At the 6th National Congress he was elected to the LPRP Politburo, and he was reelected at the 7th National Congress and 8th National Congress.[1]
